A pest is an animal that has attributes that people regard as dangerous or unfavorable. A pest is also called the animal, which harms human beings by doing some actions or poisoned their food or their living conditions. Every animal has its body structure having germs that are hazardous to human beings. Every disease lies from specie to other species and has a different effect on them. 

As you know, all animals and birds have their body germs, and their body contains infectious bacteria and viruses which are harmful to human beings. We cannot neglect the fact that both species animals and humans have their body structure, which is different from each other. Their body performs some different functions to each other according to their nature as some animals are harmful to human beings. Some pests include animals:

· It can harm stoked food. For instance, rats and mice may eat grain in silos, rice or biscuits in shops, markets, and houses and pollute the food items with their droppings and urine.

· Attack and chew farm and station animals. For example, feral dogs (dingoes) assassinate or maim sheep and goats each year; foxes will kill poultry, lambs, and many other species of native fauna; and feral cats also kill on wildlife.

· Ruin the clothing. Silverfish, for example, eat holes in clothes.

· Destroy the houses, offices, and buildings. For example, termites can cause considerable harm to timber in homes and buildings. 

· Bite and cut people. For example, bed bugs called as they generally cut and bite people in their beds are very tough and costly to control. Their bites can be the causal of great vexation to those bitten and, like mosquito bites, can become infected if scraped.

Some Pest animals may have a significant influence on an ecosystem. The impact on the native breed by predation, contention for resources such as water and food, and the devastation of habitation. A pest animal such as raccoon, rats, mice, bats, and rabbits devalue vegetation, which is a source of food and protection for other pest animals. Animal pests can be the cause of damaging human life and hazardous diseases. Pest animals can carry diseases that can be hazardous for human beings. 


There are some human diseases spread by animal pest:

  • Swine influenza.
  • Tick fever.
  • Transit tetany.
  • Transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE)
  • Tuberculosis.
  • Warts on cattle.
  • White-Nose Syndrome.
  • White spot disease.
  • Rabies.
